R Chandru ditches Ajay, ropes in Pankaj

The rift between director R Chandru and actor Ajay Rao is said to have finally ended after the director roped in his guru S Narayan"s son Pankaj, who has starred in movies like Chaitrada chandrama and Cheluvina Chilipili, for his next project. The Ajay-Chandru duo has earlier done successful movies like Taj Mahal and Prem Kahani.

Director R Chandru wanted to do a successful Hat-trick movie with Ajay Rao. During the promotion of Prem Kahani, He had said to a private Kannada TV channel that he would like to team up with Ajay for another movie to get a hat-trick success. On the same show, Ajay had made their differences clear by saying that he did not have any plan like that and he was ready to act, if he would get good offer from others.

However, Ajay had boycotted the promotional tour of Prem Kahani citing his ill health. But Chandru had openly criticised his irresponsible behavior, and planned a challenging helicopter promotion, which had finally resulted in producer suffering a huge loss.
