After the movie Eddelu Manjunatha, Kannada actor Jaggesh has once again hit the headline after the Karnataka High Court dismissed the defamation case filed against him at a lower court. MT Krishnappa had filed the case at a lower court in Tumkur.

The High Court made it clear that Jaggesh was charged based on the media reports in 2004. But the court dismissed the case asking why any editor and report of the media were not charged. Krishnappa had filed the case at a lower court.

In a press meet, Jaggesh had blamed the MLA of Turuvekere, MT Krishnappa that he had accepted bribe of Rs 3 lakh from a block education officer. So Krishnappa had filed a defamation case at a lower court in Tumkur and the lower court had issued summons on the actor.

However, Jaggesh approached the high court. He had requested the court to dismiss the case. The high court on Tuesday dismissed the case in the lower court stating that only Jaggesh had been made party in the matter and no media house was made a respondent.
