S Janaki escapes from car accident

Playback singer S Janaki had a miraculous escape from a car accident near Chittode on Saturday. According to the Chittode police, the driver lost control over the car and rammed into a motor bike, killing one and injuring another.

The singer along with her son Badrinath was on her way to Pollachi from Chennai on 18th July. Janaki's driver hit the motor bike. The motor cyclist died on the spot and another left injured. Janakai suffered minor injuries.

The Chittode police have identified the dead as P. Rajendran of Surampatty Valasu and the injured as Velusamy (Pillion rider), who was later admitted to the Government Hospital, Erode. The Police claimed that Ms. Janaki"s son Bhadrinath was driving the car when the accident happened. They have registered a case and let off the singer and son on bail.
