Junior Rajkumar's musical show for funds

Senior Kannada actor B. Munikumar, better known as 'Junior Rajkumar', is all set to host a musical show in Belgaum on March 8 to raise funds for his Kalavidara Ashrayada Vishwa Kaladhama (KAVK), Bangalore.

Talking to press persons on Wednesday, he said the KAVK had taken up construction of 'Ashraya Dhama' near K. Gollahalli of Bangalore district, to provide free lodging facilities to artistes from north Karnataka and outside Bangalore who visit the State capital.

The main objective, however, is to put up facilities in various art forms, including classical music, dance, yoga and martial arts for the physically challenged. Measures had been taken to conduct training to fresh as well as already initiated artistes in instrumental and vocal music, guitar, keyboard, tabla, veena, violin, flute, Bharatanatyam, break dance, yakshagana, yoga, karate and kung-fu. Free boarding and lodging will be provided during the period of training.

Munikumar has purchased two acres of land using earnings from his acting and live shows. He said he was collecting donations but in the form of tickets for his musical shows. His Belgaum show will comprise a 25-member team, including Junior Upendra, Junior Shivaraj Kumar and Junior Rangayana Raghu.
