(KFCC)
has
contributed
Rs.
60
lakh
to
the
Chief
Minister
Relief
Fund
for
relief
works
in
Northern
Karnataka.
The
president
of
KFCC,
Dr.
Jayamala
along
with
the
members
Rockline
Venkatesh,
Ashok,
Thomas
D
Souza
and
Sa.
Ra.
Govindu,
presented
the
cheque
to
the
Chief
Minister
BS
Yediyurappa
at
Banquent
Hall
Vidhana
Soudha
during
the
release
of
Dr.
Rajakumar
Postal
Stamp
on
November
1.
Earlier,
Dr.
Jayamala
had
promised
to
give
Rs.
25
lakhs
from
KFCC
to
Chief
Minister
Relief
fund.
Kannada
film
industry
had
organised
a
roadshow
to
collect
relief
fund
in
Bangalore
last
month
and
had
collected
Rs.60
lakhs.
This
amount
did
not
include
the
individual
donation
of
Sandalwood
celebrities.
Speaking
on
the
occasion
of
Karnataka
Rajyotsava,
the
President
of
KFCC
said,
"The
Kannada
film
industry
is
with
the
flood
hit
victims
of
North
Karnataka
and
it
is
working
hard
to
get
them
infrastrctures
like
food,
shelter
and
drinking
water.
Smt.
Parvathamma
Rajakumar,
KH
Muniyappa,
the
minister
of
state
for
Railways,
Rehman
Khan,
deputy
speaker
of
Rajya
Sabha
were
also
present
on
the
function.
