Lady Amitabh Bachchan gets clear signal?

By Super Admin

Kiran Bedi has been dogged by controversies ever since its launch a few moths ago. Produced by Ramu, the film features his actress wife Malashri in the lead role. It was heard that the film deals with the life and work of IPS officer Kiran Bedi, who was unhappy with this new cop flick based on her life.

Now Malashri, known in Sandalwood circles as 'lady Amitabh Bachchan' for her action roles, has clarified that the film has nothing to do with Kiran Bedi and it is not a biopic on the life of the Magsaysay winner. Malashri plays the role of a cop and her onscreen father is a fan of Kiran Bedi. So he names his daughter after Kiran Bedi and the similarities end there.

She also rubbished rumours that Kiran Bedi was upset with such a film being made. Malashri claims that she had informed Kiran Bedi about the new film, who had appreciated the stills in which Malashri dons a cop uniform. Apparently, Kiran Bedi"s daughter Saina is a friend of Malashri and it was through her that the film's makers were able to contact Mrs. Bedi. So hopefully at last, Kiran Bedi will get an 'all clear" signal from the media too.
