Malashri has cleared the rumours surrounding Kiran Bedi by her unambiguous statement that her film has nothing to do with the real Kiran Bedi except for the name. The latest news is that Kiran Bedi will be releasing on Ugadi.

There is high level of expectation from the movie since Malashri is featured in the role of a dynamic police officer named Kiran Bedi. Noted director Om Prakash Rao (her husband) is the director of this film produced by Ramu Enterprises. Ramu, who is known to spend lavishly on his films, has reportedly spent huge amounts on making Kiran Bedi, which took 150 days and 200 rolls of film to shoot. The film has used very costly equipment for shooting and the major highlight will be the graphics and special effects featured.

This is not the first time Malashri comes in the role of a cop. Known as 'lady Amitabh Bachchan' Malashri has played police officer Lady Police, Lady Commissioner and Bhavani IPS. This the fourth film Om Prakash Rao is directing for Ramu Enterprises; his previous projects with Ramu Enetrprises include Lockup Death and AK 47.
