KSL Swamy shocked at Hemant’s arrest

Kannada director KSL Swamy has lashed out at allegations made by singer Hemant"s wife Priyadharshini. He said that he loved his wife very much and he could never harass his wife for dowry. However, Priya had filed a complaint against the singer and his family claiming that they harassed her for dowry.

Speaking to Kannada news channel TV9, director KSL Swamy said, “I know Hemant and his family for the past 20 years. He is very decent and nice guy. He loved his wife very much. Even during recordings, he used to have lot of concern for his wife. Many a times, he requested me to drop him to his house early. There is definitely something wrong."

“If Priya had any personal vengeance with Hemant, she should have sit with elders and solved the problem. She should not have taken such a serious decision like filing a complaint against him. She might win the case against him, but god will not excuse her," the director added.

However, Priyadharshini filed the case against Hemant and his family at Basavanagudi Women Police Station on Saturday. She has claimed that they had been harassing her for dowry since her marriage. Hemant and Priyadharshini were married in 2007. Recently, the couple had quarrel, and she was staying with her parents, say Basavangudi police sources.
