Maina Chandru passes away at young age

Actor Maina Chandru passed away at a private hospital in Bangalore on July 16. He had produced NS Shankar"s Ulta Palta and Yogaraj Bhat"s Mani. He was suffering from kidney related problems and was taking treatment for the past few days.

Maina Chandru was a theatre artist and also appeared on the big screen. He was basically recognized as comedy actor. Chandru starrer movie Ulta Palta had created a new record in the Kannada film industry. He had also starred in Yogaraj Bhat"s Ranga SSLC.

Chandru had also acted in TV serials. He had appeared in the serial 'Malegalalli Madumagalu' in Ee TV channel. He had acted hit sitcom 'Kuberappana Makkalu'.

Besides acting, he was also a producer. He had produced movies like Ulta Palta directed by NS Shankar and Mani directed by Yogaraj Bhat. According to sources, Chandru was married to singer Shobha and recently he had divorced her. However the sudden death of the actor has shocked the Kannada film industry.
