Meena wants to act in female-oriented films

Popular South Indian actress Meena Durairaj, better known as Meena, wants to act in female-oriented movie. She is returning to Sandalwood with Hendthira Darbar, which features her alongside Ramesh Aravind. The movie is a remake of Tamil movie Varavu Yeththana Shelavu Paththana.

The sensational actress tied the knot with the Bangalore-based software engineer Vidyasagar on July 12 2009 in Tirumala and settled in Bangalore. After staying away from film industry for six months, she has decided to make a comeback. Earlier, she has appeared with actor Ramesh in the Tamil movie Rhythm.

Actress Meena says that she is enjoying every bit of her family life in Bangalore. She is raring for comeback. She is all excited about Hendthira Darbar, in which she is playing a middle class woman. It is a light-hearted movie and is being directed by V Shekhar and produced by Gold Films. Rangayana Raghu and Sadhu Kokila and others are in supporting roles. Currently, the movie is being shot in Bangalore.

Meena debuted in Kannada with the film Putnanja opposite Crazy star V Ravichandran. After that she acted in several films like Cheluva, Mallamma, My Autograph and Game. Her film Swathi Muthu, which was a remake of superhit Telugu film Swathi Muthyam earned her good name in Kannada.
