Doddaguni Shankar and Sargoor Sanjeevamurthy are surprised after they come to know that Byadarhalli has not given half of the amount. So Kotashetty has switched over to the party. Sukanya points out Byadarhalli's mistake to them in this issue. They argue her that she made a mistake by supporting him previously.

Meanwhile, Byadarhalli Shivappa comes there. He says that he is able to get victory in the press meet with the help of Jyothi Karnic, who was sent by Sukanya. Sargoor alleges him of eating half of the amount. Sukanya interferes them to stop them quarreling. She says that their first aim is to keep Hosamane away. After that they can start their quarrel. On the other side, defeated Kotashetty is sitting at Hosamane's home and is drinking. Hosamane asks him about the happenings in the press meet. He looks shattered.

Kotashetty explains his relationship with Jyothi Karnik to Hosamane, who tries to encourage him by saying not to be afraid of her. He does not want to listen his words. He says that he will stay away from the politics. Hosamane becomes helpless in holding him. He thinks that he needs do something in order to come in power.

Seeing Subbaraya coming to the Ashram, Ashok and others are embarrassed. Subbaraya tells them that he has already finished Ranganath. All of them are stunned. Leaving them aside, he moves onto Sudhindra. Sudhindra is surprised to see his father-in-law. He says that he has come to get him released from the Ashram. But Sudhindra denies him and says that they should not go away from the Ashram, instead they should finish Ranganath and occupy the Ashram. Subbaraya is baffled.....
