Director
Nagathihalli
Chandrasekhar
has
become
sceptical
these
days.
Although
Sandalwood
churned
out
many
films
last
year,
only
a
few
managed
to
get
their
investment
back
leave
alone
give
the
producer
a
profit.
Several
films
bombed
at
the
box
office,
some
with
newcomers
and
others
with
super
stars.
This
has
created
panic
among
filmmakers
who
are
wary
of
casting
newcomers
now.
Chandrasekhar
completed
the
shooting
of
Olave
Jeevana
Lekkachara,
produced
by
K.
Manju,
featuring
Sringar
Kitty
and
newcomer
Anvitha
quite
a
while
back,
but
he
is
apprehensive
about
releasing
the
film
at
a
time
when
the
whole
world
is
talking
about
recession.
He
hinted
that
he
will
consider
releasing
the
film
during
April.
Chandrasekhar's
last
release,
Mathadu
Mathadu
Mallige,
was
a
damp
squib.
Olave's
plot
is
based
on
the
short
story
'Bhoomi
Gundaagidhe'
by
Chandrasekhar
in
Mayura
magazine
in
the
90's.
The
story
received
widespread
criticism
and
the
author
was
served
with
court
notices
at
that
time.
