Pooja Gandhi denies item song reports

Pooja Gandhi, one of the leading actresses in Kannada, dismissed the reports of item song stating that a dance number in Sri Harikathe has been added for special effect. Earlier, a few reports even stated that it was not important. Irritated by these reports Pooja has said that it is not an item song and it is an introduction song. It is very much part of the script.

Pooja Gandhi, who is now on her New Year holiday with her parents, says that she plays a struggling model, so it is essential to be introduced through that way. In spite of box-office catastrophes, the opportunities are still knocking at her door and she doesn't need an item number to hog lime light at this stage. She has acted in four movies in 2009 out of which Gokula has been considered as box-office hit.

Dayal Padmanabhan's Sri Harikathe has six songs, which have been composed by Sameer Kulkarni. Naveen Krishna and Yogaraj Bhat have written Lyrics. Srimurali, Pooja Gandhi and Radhika Gandhi can be seen in lead roles. The film will hit the screen on January 1, 2010.
