Prakash Raj, Lalitha settle divorce by mutual consent

Actor Prakash Raj (Prakash Rai) and his wife actress Lalitha Kumari have filed a joint petition for divorce by mutual consent on Friday. The star couple arrived to the Egmore family court together to file the petition. The mutual settlement is expected to come out on November 18.

Now, the couple's advocates have worked out an out-of-court settlement, following which they have filed a joint application for divorce by mutual consent. After hearing from the couple about the settlement for an hour, the judge adjourned the court to November 18 for further proceedings.

The National Award winning actor had married the actress 15 years ago and he had filed for divorce and was living separately for about a year now. Later, she again moved the family court seeking a monthly maintenance amount of at least Rs 2 lakh for their two daughter.

However, Lalitha Kumari's sister Disco Shanthi and her husband actor Srihari had tried to mediate and sort out the differences earlier this year, but in vain.
