Raaj director, Rakshita’s Preethi Prem Pallavi

Raaj – The Showman director Prem and actress Rakshita were recently on the TV show 'Preethi Prem Pallavi' on Kannada news channel TV9. The glamorous couple of tinsel town spoke to TV host Gaurish about love and marriage. They are leading a happy life and arrival of their new baby boy Surya has added more spice to their love life.

Prem-Rakshita love started budding during the shooting of superhit movie Jogi According to Prem"s colleague Candru, Prem used to visit Rakshita regularly while she was shooting the movie Tayiaya Madilalli. Even Rakshita also used to come to his office to meet him and she used to bring sweets and cakes to everyone at the office, said director Santosh.

Talking about their love, Rakshita said, “Prem was very nervous and he could not express his love for me. Even though first he fell in love with me, it was me who proposed him. He took a day to think about it and then he replied." She added, “He is quite boring. He did not give me any gift. Even on valentine"s day, he asked his PA to get some flowers for me."

Speaking about their relationship Prem said, “We fell in love with each other and got engaged a year before our marriage. So we had good mutual understanding before marriage. So we've not faced any problem after marriage." He added, “The title track of the movie Ee Preethi Eke Bhoome Melide was inspired by my love Rakshita."

The glamorous couple"s marriage was really a big crowd. Rakshita expressed her disappointment towards her wedding day. She said, “Not even one programme on our marriage was done according to sharstras (family tradition). I could not get one photo with my family members. I felt very bad, because many of my relatives from Kundapur and Mumbai had come and they could not speak to me properly. I really cried at the end of the day. So I want to marry Prem once again after five years."

These days rumours about alleged relationships between director and heroine have become common. When Gaurish asked Prem about his behavior with the heroines of his films, he said, “Throughout my filmy career, I"ve never sat with any actress. I"m really scared about rumours." Talking about his character, Rakshita said, “I never mind him sitting with any actress, but I know Prem is quite boring. He never talks or sits with anyone."

Prem, who entered Kannada film industry through the successful movie Appu, has become on among the busiest directors in the Kannada films. When asked about his presence at home, Rakshita said, “He is the busiest person. He will never sit idle at home. Even during my pregnancy, he was busy filming Puneet Rajkumar starrer Raaj – The Showman. Even on the day of my delivery, he went for the shooting of Raaj.

“We admitted her to a hospital a day before her delivery. Her mother co-operated with me very well. She told me to go and look after my work. She managed everything there in the hospital. Even Parvatamma Rajkumar told me to stay with Rakshita, but I could not cancel the shooting."

“When I came back I was really very excited to see my son Surya. Even though I had done many movies about motherhood, I came to know about what is motherhood after seeing the whole scene over there in the hospital," he added.
