Puneet Rajkumar's payment doubled?

The latest buzz in Gandhinagar is that Puneet Rajkumar's payment has been doubled. If reports are to believe, the Power star is getting Rs. 2.07 crore to star in Soorappa Babu produced Kannada movie Prithvi. Earlier, it was reported that his salary was Rs. 1.08 crore.

Despite the debacle of Raaj - The Showman at the Box Office, producer Soorappa Babu has reportedly agreed to pay Puneet Rajkumar Rs. 2.07 crore to star in his forthcoming film Prithvi. With this, Puneet has become the heighst paid actor in Kannada film industry.

The film Prithvi will be directed by Savaari fame Jacob Verghese, who has also penned story and screenplay for the movie. Savaari and Mr. Garagasa fame Manikanth Kadri will score music. The film is said to go on floors by the end of this month.

However, Puneet Rajkumar is also reported to have signed to star in the remake of Nadodigal and another film to be directed by Soori. Meanwhile, Puneet has been chosen to be the brand ambassador for the 'Nandini' brand of milk products being marketted by Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF).
