The release of Puneet Rajkumar-Nisha Kothari starrer movie Raaj - The Showman has reportedly created a lot of panic in the Kannada film industry. According to film industry sources, many filmmakers have come forward to release their movies before the release of Raaj. So nearly a dozen movies are being released in the month of July.
Hemanth Hegde directed movie Houseful is releasing on July 17. Talking about the development, he said "The panic has created lot of competition in the industry. People like me are directly affected by the competition. Although the big-budget movie of the year, Raaj, is releasing soon, there is no need to worry about the audiences."
Another filmmaker Vijalaxmi Singh, whose Male Barali Manju Irali is also set to release soon, condemned the development. Vijalaxmi said, "This is a very unhealthy development, which forces many filmmakers to release their movies at one go. This may lead to unavailability of theatres."
However, many producers are worried about not getting theatres after the release of Raaj - The Showman. So they are trying to release their movie before the release of Raaj. Jaggesh starrer Eddelu Manjunatha and Tarun-Radhika Pandit starrer Love Guru are also releasing on July 17. Anyway, Raaj - The Showman has become a nightmare for many producers.
