“I don’t expect apology from Ramya,” Ganesh Kasargod

Senior Journalist Ganesh Kasargod, who made a big news after he, along with other media men, boycotted the Jothegara press meet following his quarrel with actress Ramya, has said that it was his as well as Ramya"s sudden outburst that led to this big issue. She need not have to ask anybody"s apology.

In an exclusive interview to Kannada TV channel Suverna News, Ganesh Kasargod said, “Ramya came to the Jothegara press meet one hour late. When asked about her being late, she suddenly burst out and asked me to leave the press meet. I felt insulted and got up to leave the press meet, when other journalists also accompanied me to boycott the press meet. “

“I"ve been in the media industry for the past 28 years. I"ve my own respect in the Kannada film industry. I"ve never faced this kind of situation. Even Puneet and Shivaraj Kumar hug me and wish me hello, hi when they see me. It shows the culture of Dr. Rajkumar"s family. I think Ramya lacks this culture," he added.

Talking about Golden girl Ramya, he said, “I don"t have any bitter feeling towards Ramya. In turn, I"ve lot of respect for her, because it was a time when she stood like a wall and stopped the import of the actresses from other languages in Kannada films. She's beautyful, talented and popular actress. Now She's demand in Kannada film industry. If she mixes a little culture with these things, she"s sure to rock the industry,"

Ganesh Kasargod condemned the film crew"s idea that the movie has got the popularity worth Rs. 20 Lakhs with this issue. Meanwhile, he also said that he would not develop his enmity with Ramya. He would talk to her in a professional way whenever he would meet her next time.

However, it should be recalled that actress Ramya had also expressed the same feelings towards Ganesh. She had said that she would not expect apology from him.
