A reality show for NRI Kannadigas in America

Many efforts have been taken to unite the NRI Kannadigas in America. Many summits of music, language, dance and literature have been organised to bind them together emotionally. Now another new step is being taken in this regard. A reality show is being organised to rejuvinate their talent.

It is known that there are many talented Kannada singers in North America. Some of them have made the singing as their habit and others have been performing songs on various Kannada function by forming their own bands. These groups of America have even contributed many talented playback singers.

These Kannada singers are scattered through out the North America. It is not easy to find and bring them on one stage. Nobody has made any such effort in the land of Micheal Jackson. Neither these singers have got common platform to show their talent, nor somebody has encouraged the ones, who have got the stage.

Now, a group of singers has come forward to provide a platform to talented Kannada singers in America. The group has organised an event called Vishala America Sangeeta Pratibhanveshane. This event is a reality show, which is basically meant for talent hunt.

The reality show will start from this November. It will have four rounds of events to find out the talented singers. Stages are being arranged in provinces like Chicago, California, New Jersey and Texas for voice test in four rounds. Those who want to participate in the event can send an email stating their name and address to amerikannada2009@gmail.

The reality show is produced by Chicago based Shivamurthy Keelara and directed by GV Vinodkumar. Power star Puneet Rajkumar, Musician Mano Murthy and Golden girl Ramya are the juries on the show, which will be back-supported by musicians like Hamsalekha, Rajesh Krishnan, Raghu Dixit and lyricist Jayant Kaikini.
