Sharmila not upset by criticism

In the short span of time she has spent in Sandalwood, Sharmila Mandre has learned to accept criticism positively. The reviews of her latest film Navagraha termed her as a 'dasara doll" and Sharmila is least upset by it. The lovely actress thinks that this criticism means that she is not just a pretty face but also that she is glamorous at least.

But, these barbed comments have boosted her thirst to perform well and she is seriously working hard to improve her acting skills. Her forthcoming film, Venkata in Sankata, is almost complete and she is all praise for director Ramesh Aravind. It was on the sets of Venkata... that she learned to deliver the dialogues without looking at the dialogue sheets.

Although pretty and talented, Sharmila says she still does not have the confidence to do solo heroine films. She believes that she cannot carry a film on her shoulders and prefers to be in big banner, multi-cast films for the time being.
