Shubha Punja has been playing the usual romantic eye candy roles since her debut. Now the actress in over the top for she has received an offer to play, in her own words, 'a role of substance".

In the forthcoming Preethi Hungama, Shubha plays the role of a journalist. Shubha is undoubtedly excited about this film, especially since it has a heroine-oriented script.

Shubha has also signed up for a film opposite Vijay, but it is a usual love story. The pretty actress revealed that she is listening to a lot of scripts these days and craves a complete heroine-oriented flick.
