Bengaluru,
December,
2009:
Radio
Mirchi
never
fails
to
fulfill
the
wishes
of
its
ardent
listeners!
Three
lucky
girls
won
themselves
a
chance
to
meet
their
favorite
Sandalwood
actor
Yash
through
an
on-air
contest
conducted
on
Radio
Mirchi.
Yash
was
present
at
the
Hotel
Bells
on
Saturday
to
promote
his
latest
flick
–
Kallara
Santhe
which
is
making
waves
with
its
unusual
storyline.
As
per
the
contest
rules,
One
lucky
winner
had
the
opportunity
to
get
a
ride
in
auto
rickshaw
by
the
Actor
himself.
But
the
generous
Actor,
Yash
did
not
want
to
dishearten
the
other
2
girls
and
took
all
3
for
an
auto
rickshaw
ride
at
an
event.
Yash
who
plays
an
auto
rickshaw
driver
in
the
movie
was
happy
enough
to
take
the
excited
fans
for
a
round
in
the
auto.
Talking
of
his
experience
of
being
the
auto
driver
in
real,
Yash
said,
“Auto
Rickshaw
is
one
of
the
cultural
symbols
of
Bengaluru
and
I
am
proud
to
have
become
a
part
of
the
city"s
culture!
It
feels
good
to
make
someone
happy,
even
it
means
driving
an
auto.
I
dint
know
that
I
had
such
a
huge
female
following,
until
Radio
Mirchi
revealed
it
to
me.
I
heard
there
was
a
big
queue
of
girls,
wanting
to
go
on
a
ride
with
me!"
One
of
the
winners,
excitedly
said,
“I
have
been
a
great
fan
of
Yash
since
his
TV
days,
I
used
to
watch
'Preethi
Illade
Mele'
just
to
get
a
glimpse
of
him.
It"s
like
a
dream
come
true
to
have
met
Yash,
would
like
thank
Radio
Mirchi
for
giving
me
this
opportunity!"
With
the
glee
of
success
on
lingering
on
his
face,
Yash
spoke
about
the
movie
and
said,
“It
is
an
absolutely
a
rewarding
experience
to
have
been
a
part
of
Kallara
Santhe,
this
certainly
the
most
meaningful
movie
I
have
done
till
date.
The
movie
is
yet
to
gain
the
required
attention
but
gradually
I
see
audiences
are
coming
forward
to
watch
and
appreciate
the
movie."
As
the
year
ends,
Kallara
Santhe
comes
as
a
welcome
break
to
the
Kannada
audiences
who
have
received
an
overdose
of
love
and
rowdyism
movies
in
2009.
The
movie
directed
by
Sumana
Kittur
with
story
from
Agni
Shridhar
portrays
a
sharp
political
satire
and
has
faired
well
among
the
critics.
