CM BS Yediyurappa pays tribute to C Ashwath

Chief Minister of Karnataka, BS Yediyurappa has expressed his deepest condolences over the death of singer C Ashwath, who passed away today morning. However, the Karnataka Legislative Assembly session was adjourned to next day following the death of the singer.

After paying homage to C Ashwath, BS Yediyurappa said, “He was one of the most acclaimed exponents of Bhavageete and Janapada Geethe. The state has lost an accomplished and popular musician. Let his soul rest in peace and may god give his family courage to bear his lose."

The Kannada Sugama Sangeetha legend's body will be kept at Samsa Bayalu Ranga Mandira in Ravindra Kala Kshetra at 3.00 pm for the last Darshan of his fans. His last rites will be performed at Banashankari Crematorium at 5.00 pm.

Lyricist V Nagendra Prasad, jouralist Ravi Belegere and many writers, singers and musicians have paid their tribute to the singer C Ashwath. His death has left an irreplaceable void in the field of music. He will always be remembered with respect as much for his musical talent as for the simplicity and nobility of his life.
