Golden girl Ramya has come a long way after she opted out of Prakash Raj's directorial debut venture Naanu Nanna Kanasu. She has become very careful and choosy and is taking time to sign her next projects. Recently, she has signed a Kannada movie titled Sidlingu, which is directed by Vijay Prasad.

The Kannada babe was on Radio Mirchi to launch the Ugadi bumper promotion, 'Mirchi Stock Exchange' on Friday. She looked calm and quiet. I was carried over by her friendly movements as she sat down for a chat. Despite having throat, she spoke to Oneindia about her new projects and Indian Premiere League. Here are the excerpts of Ramya's exclusive interview.

How is the shooting of Sanju Weds Geetha going on? When is it releasing?
We've completed the shooting of Sanju Weds Geetha. Presently, works for talkie portion are going on. Soon, we are leaving for Gujrat to shoot a special song for the film. However, it will be ready for release in May.

What is the story of the SWG? What role are you playing in it?
The movie goes back to 1990s, when woman did not have enough freedom to go out and were made sit inside four walls. It revolves around woman's position and her treatment in a family system those days. I'm playing Geetha, while Kitty appears as Sanju.

What is the latest update on Jothegaara and Bhimoos Bang Bang Kids?
Both the movies were delayed over some financial problems. But I don't have much information about the release of these films.

None of your movies was released in 2009. Why?
Jothegaara and Bhimoos Bang Bang Kids were ready, but as I said, they were delayed. I was busy with the shooting of another two movies - Just Maath Maathalli and Kichcha Huchcha with Sudeep. JMM released a few weeks back and Kichcha Huchcha is now getting ready to hit the screens in May.

What are your upcoming projects?
Recently, I've signed a Kannada project, which is titled Sidlingu. The movie is directed by Vijay Prasad and Yogish is playing hero alongside me. Sidlingu is a comedy-cum-emotional drama, which is totally opposite of JMM. The story of the movie revolves around Sidlingu, who is a boy. I'm playing an unattractive lady teacher in it. Since childhood, I wanted to become a teacher. Though not in real life, my dream is coming true through this movie. I'm very happy.

In fact, I have two Tamil projects Kadhal to Kalyanam and Singham vs Puli in hand too. The shooting of Singham vs Puli was delayed due to Jeeva's date clash, soon it will resume shooting.

How do you celebrate Ugadi?
Usually, I celebrate Ugadi with my family. My mom buys me a pair of dress. This year, she buys me a saree. I even prepare some sweets and share them with my family. This year, there is one more excitement for me. I will be busy watching Indian Premiere League.

You have become the Ambassador for Royal Challengers Bnagalore. What do you feel about IPL?
I'm very much excited about it. A block, which accommodates 800 audience, has been named after me in Chinnaiswamy grounds Bangalore. The organizers have told me that tickets for my block are selling out like a hot cake and I myself may not get a ticket in it. Another specialty about it is that Powrstar Puneet Rajkumar will also be cheering for Royal Challengers.

Recently, you have started writing blogs on RCB official site. What would you like to say about it?
Yes! It's really very interesting. It's a right opportunity for me to communicate my fans. I am getting loads of good comments from them.
