Golden girl Ramya has come a long way after she opted out of Prakash Raj's directorial debut venture Naanu Nanna Kanasu. She has become very careful and choosy and is taking time to sign her next projects. Recently, she has signed a Kannada movie titled Sidlingu, which is directed by Vijay Prasad.
The Kannada babe was on Radio Mirchi to launch the Ugadi bumper promotion, 'Mirchi Stock Exchange' on Friday. She looked calm and quiet. I was carried over by her friendly movements as she sat down for a chat. Despite having throat, she spoke to Oneindia about her new projects and Indian Premiere League. Here are the excerpts of Ramya's exclusive interview.

None of your movies was released in 2009. Why?
Jothegaara and Bhimoos Bang Bang Kids were ready, but as I said, they were delayed. I was busy with the shooting of another two movies - Just Maath Maathalli and Kichcha Huchcha with Sudeep. JMM released a few weeks back and Kichcha Huchcha is now getting ready to hit the screens in May.
What are your upcoming projects?
Recently, I've signed a Kannada project, which is titled Sidlingu. The movie is directed by Vijay Prasad and Yogish is playing hero alongside me. Sidlingu is a comedy-cum-emotional drama, which is totally opposite of JMM. The story of the movie revolves around Sidlingu, who is a boy. I'm playing an unattractive lady teacher in it. Since childhood, I wanted to become a teacher. Though not in real life, my dream is coming true through this movie. I'm very happy.
In fact, I have two Tamil projects Kadhal to Kalyanam and Singham vs Puli in hand too. The shooting of Singham vs Puli was delayed due to Jeeva's date clash, soon it will resume shooting.

Another specialty about it is that Powrstar Puneet Rajkumar will also be cheering for Royal Challengers.
