The
release
date
of
Kannada
film
Boss
was
pushed
back
by
a
week,
making
it
the
first
film
to
hit
theaters
in
2011
from
the
Sandalwood
film
industry.
The
Darshan,
Navya
Nair,
Rekha
starrer
Boss
is
expected
to
draw
a
huge
number
of
viewers
to
theaters
considering
that
it
will
be
released
during
the
holiday
weekend.
Reports
suggest
that
the
delay
in
release
has
acted
in
favor
of
the
film
because
it
will
ensure
a
greater
number
of
people
visiting
theaters
playing
Boss
on
the
opening
day
itself.
Ramesh
Yadav,
producer
of
Boss,
issued
a
statement
to
the
media
citing
pre-release
publicity
as
the
chief
reason
for
the
delay
in
the
release
date.
Reports
suggest
that
the
cast
and
crew
of
Boss
have
taken
a
week's
breathe
to
promote
their
film
in
various
cities
across
South
India.
And
needless
to
say,
the
promotional
campaigns
will
work
in
favor
of
Boss,
making
the
audience
more
acquainted
with
the
storyline
of
the
film
and
more
interested
to
watch
the
entire
film
once
it
hits
theaters.
The
delay
also
means
that
Boss
will
now
release
during
the
New
Year
holidays
and
every
family
can
now
go
in
groups
to
watch
the
film
in
theaters.
Boss,
which
was
supposed
to
hit
theaters
on
the
31st
of
December,
is
the
debut
film
of
director
Raghu
Raj.
The
Kannada
film
has
been
passed
by
the
censor
board
with
a
U/A
certificate,
unlike
several
films
of
Darshan
which
were
censored
for
its
adult
content,
which
again
means
a
greater
number
of
viewers.
