Director
KM
Chaithanya,
who
was
disappearing
from
the
limelight
after
the
release
of
the
movie
Suryakaanti,
is
now
back
in
the
news.
The
upcoming
Kannada
director
has
been
shooting
for
the
documentary
on
noted
writer
Girish
Karnad
for
the
past
one
year
and
he
is
doing
last
day
filming
for
it
today.
KM
Chaithanya
exclusively
spoke
to
oneindia
about
the
shooting
of
the
documentary.
He
says,
"I've
been
shooting
for
the
documentary
on
Girish
Karnad.
Today
is
the
last
of
the
shooting
and
Today,
we
shot
the
walking
scene
of
Karnad
sir
at
JP
Nagar
Mini
forest
in
Bangalore.
I
will
start
editing
work
soon."
He
adds,
"Girish
Karnad
is
a
great
contemporary
writer,
playwright,
actor
and
film
director
in
Kannada.
He
is
one
of
the
seven
recipients
of
Jnanpith
Award.
The
documentary
on
him
covers
his
life,
work
and
way
of
life.
It
is
a
22-minutes
documentary
and
is
being
produced
by
Karnataka
Information
department."
However,
KM
Chaithanya
honestly
admits
the
failure
of
the
movie
Suryakaanti
and
he
does
not
regret
it.
He
says,
"Suryakaanti
got
average
response
from
the
audience.
I
don't
mind
it
because
the
audience
will
watch
a
movie
if
it
is
really
good." Talking
about
his
next
movie,
he
says,
"I'm
planning
to
start
my
next
flick
from
January."
