Cine Journalists protest against Hoo producer Dinesh Gandhi

Association
(KCJA)
held
a
protest
against
producer
Dinesh
Gandhi
at
Green
House
in
Bangalore
on
Monday
(June
07).
The
KCJA
condemned
the
producer's
act
of
threatening
the
Bangalore
Mirror
reporter
Shyam
Prasad
with
using
slang
for
expressing
his
negative
views
in
his
Hoo
movie
Review.
After
reading
the
Hoo
Review
in
Bangalore
Mirror,
Dinesh
Gandhi
was
very
upset.
Especially,
the
sentence
in
the
review,
"But
the
tragedy
is
Ravichandran
and
Namitha
together
seem
like
two
romancing
elephants," had
irked
the
producer.
In
a
pit
of
anger,
he
had
called
Shyam
Prasad
over
his
cell
phone
at
11.30
on
June
05
and
threatened
him
with
abusive
words.
Shocked
reporter
had
record
his
call
and
filed
a
complaint
at
the
Bangalore
police
station.
Following
the
incident,
the
protest
against
the
producer
was
held
in
Bangalore
on
Monday.
More
than
50
Karnataka
Cine
Journalist
across
the
state
had
gathered
at
the
Green
House.
They
condemned
Dinesh
Gandhi's
alleged
behaviour.
Meanwhile,
several
reporters
also
spoke
about
the
need
of
Cine
Journalists
Association
to
stop
the
atrocities
on
the
cine
reporters.
Journalists
Bana
Subramanya,
Sadashiva
Shenoy,
Vijayasarathy
and
Yathiraj,
who
were
present
on
the
occasion,
were
allotted
with
the
work
of
framing
the
rules
and
regulations
and
the
the
intention
of
the
Association.
On
the
other
hand,
Dinesh
Gandhi,
who
was
arrested
over
cheque
bounce
case
last
year,
is
now
absconding.
The
Cine
Journalist
have
urged
the
police
authorities
to
arrest
him
as
early
as
possible.
They
have
even
said
that
their
protest
would
take
a
serious
mode
if
the
police
failed
to
do
their
duty
in
time.
