Dhandam Dhashagunam is a remake of Kaakha Kaakha

Producer A Ganesh has been much inspired by the 2003 Tamil action movie Kaakha Kaakha. So he has teamed up with director Madesh to remake the film in Kannada with the title Dhandam Dhashagunam. K Madesha has already directed two Telugu super hit remake films Raam and Gaja. It is going to be the third remake film for K Madesha.

K Madesha shot a memorable 'muhuruth" for the film Dhandam Dhashagunam on Thursday. He said, “With the support from veteran KV Raju, I have changed the original screenplay totally." The 'muhuruth" was graced by the actors like Ramesh Aravind and Puneet Rajkumar. The scene shows a blast scene with Chiranjeevi Sarja and actress Ramya a.k.a Divya Spandana can be seen in front of the Indian flag, behind which the blast occurs.

For the producer A Ganesh, it is the 8th film, which has seventy five days of shooting schedule in the locations like Mysore, Bangalore, Mangalore and Kushal Nagar. The director said, “I will offer a new look to the Chiranjeevi will be playing the role earlier played by Surya. He will be a crime branch head. The actor said, “I will try to put my own style in the film."

Ramya will take up the role of a school teacher for the first time. She quipped, “I won"t do any remake films." Speaking to the media, she cleared the reason of her taking up the film. According to her, it is due to the substance of the role, originally played by Jyothika, she signed the movie.
