Gandhinagar sources claim that producer Gautham Vasudev Menon is getting ready to launch the remake of his hit movie Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya in Kannada in August and he has already said to have roped in actor Diganth and Golden girl Ramya for the lead roles. But chocolate hero Diganth is surprised by the reports about this movie. He says that he is totally unaware of production of this movie.

A fortnight ago, Gautham Menon had announced his plans to remake his hit movie in Kannada. He had even said that he was impressed with Ramya and Diganth's acting in a few Kannada films. Following his statement, the rumours started the making buzz in Gandhi Nagar that Ramya and Diganth will star in the lead roles in the remake.

But now, the Sandalwood star is quite surprised to read the reports on internet. He says that has not been contacted by the film bosses yet and he is unaware of the preparations of the film's launch in August. "I have not been contacted by the producers yet," chitraloka.com reports him as saying.

However, Diganth admits that a few days ago he was contacted by a person from the producer. The man gave him a copy of the CD and told him that VTV would be remade in Kannada and his name was being considered for the hero's role. After the incident, he has not been contacted so far. But he will certainly consider the project if further negotiations take place, chitraloka.com reports him as saying.
