Diganth in Wake Up Sid remake

After the movie Manasaare, actor Diganth is coming back with a bang. If reports are to believe the actor is playing the lead role in the remake of Bollywood movie Wake Up Sid, which stars Ranbir Kapoor in lead. It is said that producer K Manju is planning to remake Wake Up Sid in Kannada and has approached Diganth for the lead role.

Chocolate hero Diganth is also desperate to play the lead role in the remake of Wake Up Sid. “I"m really excited about the possibility of doing this role as I relate to the character very well in real life too. In fact, a common friend of Ranbir Kapoor and mine told me that Ranbir is like Sid in real life too!" the times of India reports him as saying. “Somaari Siddha would be an apt title," he adds and laughs.

Wake Up Sid is about a lazy chap, unmotivated slacker, whose life undergoes a series of changes after taking his final year college exams. If Diganth wants to establish as an actor, here is a great opportunity to showcase his talent. His movies like Bisile, Taare and Swayamwara are lined up for release and now he is busy with filming of his upcoming movie Putra.

Ranbir Kapoor, who did the title role in Wake Up Sid, has delivered wonderful performance as Sid. He has won the accolades and appreciation from all corners. Now the question is, can Diganth do the same magic in Sandalwood?
