Sun
Pictures
is
facing
a
tough
time
in
Karnataka
after
the
Karanataka
Film
Chamber
of
Commerce
warned
it
to
release
Rajinikanth
and
Aishwarya
Bachchan
starrer
Tamil
movie
Endhiran
only
in
24
theatres.
The
film
is
made
in
three
languages
i.e.
Endhiran
in
Tamil,
Robo
in
Telugu
and
Robot
in
Hindi
and
the
bosses
wanted
to
screen
them
in
more
than
60
centres
in
Karnataka.
As
per
the
norms
of
the
KFCC,
a
non-Kannada
movie
can
be
released
in
only
24
theatres.
Although
Endhiran
is
made
in
three
different
languages,
all
three
films
deal
with
same
story,
cast
and
crew.
So
they
are
treated
as
one
movie.
So
the
KFCC
has
allowed
the
bosses
to
release
in
only
24
theatres.
This
is
not
the
first
time
that
a
non-Kannada
movie
is
facing
this
kind
of
obstacle.
Earlier,
the
big
budget
films
like
Kites
and
Raavan
were
the
victims
of
this
rule
of
the
KFCC.
The
bosses
of
Raavan,
which
was
also
made
in
three
languages,
approached
the
Karnataka
High
Court
for
help,
but
in
vein.
However,
the
Karnataka
distribution
rights
of
movie
Endhiran,
which
is
said
to
have
been
made
with
a
whopping
amount
of
Rs.
170
crores,
have
been
sold
for
Rs.
9.75
and
distributors
Mohan
Kumar
and
Muniraju
Mallesh
Palya
have
reportedly
bought
the
rights
of
the
film.
