Dr. Jayamala to be charge sheeted in Sabarimala case

Kerala
police
have
decided
to
file
a
charge
sheet
against
actress
Dr.
Jayamala,
who
claimed
that
she
had
touched
Lord
Ayyappa's
idol
during
her
visit
to
the
Sabarimala
temple
in
2006.
The
cops
have
named
former
president
of
Karnataka
Film
Chamber
of
Commerce
(KFCC)
as
the
third
accuse.
They
have
named
astrologer
Unnikrishnan
as
the
first
and
his
associate
Raghupathi
as
the
second
accuse.
All
the
three
will
be
booked
under
Section
295
A
of
IPC
for
outraging
the
religious
sentiments.
The
charge
sheet
will
be
filed
with
the
judicial
magistrate
court
in
Ranni,
Pathanamthitta
district.
According
to
Hindu
mythology,
Lord
Ayyappa
is
a
celibate,
so,
women
between
the
ages
of
10-50
are
not
allowed
to
enter
the
temple.
Women
in
the
menstrual
age
group
are
prohibited
from
entering
the
temple.
However,
the
actress
has
said
that
she
would
consult
her
legal
advisor
once
she
receives
official
information
from
the
Kerala
cops.
