Kerala police have decided to file a charge sheet against actress Dr. Jayamala, who claimed that she had touched Lord Ayyappa's idol during her visit to the Sabarimala temple in 2006.

The cops have named former president of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) as the third accuse. They have named astrologer Unnikrishnan as the first and his associate Raghupathi as the second accuse. All the three will be booked under Section 295 A of IPC for outraging the religious sentiments. The charge sheet will be filed with the judicial magistrate court in Ranni, Pathanamthitta district.

According to Hindu mythology, Lord Ayyappa is a celibate, so, women between the ages of 10-50 are not allowed to enter the temple. Women in the menstrual age group are prohibited from entering the temple.

However, the actress has said that she would consult her legal advisor once she receives official information from the Kerala cops.
