four
awards
at
57th
National
Film
Awards
2009-2010,
which
were
announced
in
New
Delhi
yesterday
evening
(15th
September).
The
Sandalwood
has
won
two
Rajat
Kamals
and
two
Swarna
Kamals
(Golden
Lotus).
Apparently,
this
is
the
first
time
that
the
industry
has
got
five
National
recognitions.
Director
Girish
Kasaravalli
has
walked
away
with
two
National
awards.
His
movie
Kanasemba
Kudureyaneri
has
won
the
best
Kannada
Movie
Award
in
the
Regional
Language
Film
section.
This
award
includes
a
Rajat
Kamal
and
cash
prize
of
Rs
1,00,000.
Girish
Kasaravalli
has
shared
the
Best
Screenplay
Writer
award
with
Gopal
Krishna
Pai
for
the
film
Kanasemba
Kudureyaneri
and
this
honour
carries
a
Rajat
Kamal
and
cash
prize
of
Rs
50,000.

Ramchandra
directed
Kannada
film
Putaani
Party
has
been
awarded
the
Best
Children's
Film.
This
award
includes
a
Swarna
Kamal
and
cash
prize
of
Rs
1,50,000.
Dr.
K
Puttaswamy
has
won
the
Best
Book
on
Cinema
for
his
Kannada
book
'Cinemaa
Yaana'.
This
award
carries
a
Swarna
Kamal
and
cash
prize
Rs
75,000.
Besides
these
awards,
another
Kannadiga
has
been
honoured
with
the
National
Film
Award.
She
is
none
other
than
late
Kannada
actor
Shankar
nag's
wife
Arundhati
Nag.
The
Jogi
actress
has
bagged
the
Best
supporting
Actress
award
for
her
performance
in
Blockbuster
Hindi
film
Paa.
