Karnad slams Slumdog Millionaire

Jnanpith Awardee, playwright Girish Karnad has slammed Oscar winning film Slumdog Millionaire. In a function which was organized by Government of Goa in Panaji, he said that he has ever seen such a worst film like Slumdog Millionaire.

Writer Girish Karnad said “I have never seen anything worse than Slumdog Millionaire". He also said that Slumdog Millionaire has failed to impress the Indian audience. "I don't know why we are obsessed with the Oscars or the Grammy (Grammy awards)", He added.

He praised Indian film industry by saying that our film industry is in good state in D.D. Kosambi lecture session on Colonialism and Culture.
