team
of
Kote,
which
features
Prajwal
Devaraj,
Gayatri
Rao
and
Dimple
Chopra
a.k.a.
Pooja
in
the
leads,
had
to
call
off
its
shooting
at
Edga
Masjid
Grounds
in
Hubli
after
a
local
Islamic
Association
named
Anjuman
objected
the
filming
at
the
controversial
place.
It
is
said
that
the
film
team
was
filming
Holi
song
at
the
disputed
place
on
last
Thursday.
The
Kote
crew
had
been
shooting
in
and
around
Hubli-Dharwad
for
the
past
10
days.
It
started
shooting
for
the
Holi
song
at
Edga
Grounds
in
Hubli
on
last
Thursday
morning.
The
Islamic
Association
Anjuman
filed
a
case
against
the
team
on
Tuesday
afternoon.
In
its
complaint,
the
Association
has
claimed
that
the
Edga
is
a
controversial
holy
place
and
the
film
should
not
be
shot
at
the
place.
Before
this
incident,
two
girls
suffered
minor
head
injuries
on
the
same
day
and
at
the
same
place.
Since
it
was
a
Holi
Song,
the
film
team
tried
to
blast
colour
filled
steel
boxes.
But
accidentally,
the
blast
occurred
at
the
place
and
the
two
girls
named
Shruthi
and
Padmavathi
got
injured
in
the
incident.
The
parents
of
the
two
girls
have
requested
the
cops
to
take
action
against
the
film
team.
However,
Kannada
film
Kote
is
being
directed
by
Srinivas
Babu
and
produced
by
Manjunath
and
GN
Murthy.
Psycho
fame
Raghu
Dixit
has
composed
the
music
for
the
film.
