Popular
South
Indian
actress
Lakshmi
Gopalaswamy
is
now
basking
the
success
of
the
movie
Aaptha
Rakshaka.
Even
though
the
success
has
not
brought
her
any
offer
in
Kannada,
the
bubbly
girl
is
happy
becasue
she
starred
alongside
late
Dr.
Vishnuvardhan.
Currently,
the
chubby
actress
has
two
projects
in
Malayalam
i.e.
Christian
Brothers
and
Shikari.
She
is
gearing
up
to
shoot
these
movies
in
June.
Recently,
Lakshmi
Gopalaswamy
attended
the
50
days
success
meet
of
Aaptha
Rakshaka,
which
was
organized
by
producer
Krishna
Prajwal
at
Bangalore
City
Institute
on
Wednesday
evening
on
April
21.
The
actress
spoke
to
Oneindia
about
Aaptha
Rakshaka,
upcoming
Malayalam
movies
and
her
marriage
at
a
length.
Here
are
the
excerpts
of
Lakshmi
Gopalaswamy
interview.
Do
you
think
that
the
success
of
Aaptha
Rakshaka
has
affected
your
career?
Has
it
brought
you
any
offers
in
Kannada
film
industry?
I
don"t
think
that
the
success
of
the
movie
has
affected
my
career
in
any
way.
And
it
hasn't
got
me
any
offers
in
Kannada
films.
But
one
thing
is
sure
that
I
am
satisfied
with
the
kind
of
response
from
the
audience
for
my
performance
in
it.
I
had
a
desire
to
act
with
Vishnuji
and
that
is
fulfilled
with
this
movie.
What
are
your
next
projects
in
Kannada?
At
present,
I
don"t
have
any
offers
in
Kannada.
I've
two
projects
in
Malayalam
and
they
are
multi-starrer
movie
Christian
Brothers
and
Shikari.
I'm
happy
that
I
will
star
alongside
Malayalam
superstar
Mohanlal
in
both
the
movies.
Probably,
I'm
going
to
shoot
both
the
films
in
the
month
of
June
or
July.
Do
you
have
a
dream
role,
which
you
desperately
want
to
play?
I
don"t
have
any
such
particular
role.
The
modern
girls
are
totally
different
and
they
are
financially
sound
and
independent.
I
just
want
to
depict
such
women.
I
want
to
act
in
both
commercial
and
artistic
movies.
Do
you
have
any
particular
Kannada
actor
with
whom
you
want
to
act?
I
don"t
have
such
a
desire.
Haan!
Earlier,
I
had
a
desire
to
act
with
Ananth
Nag.
He
is
one
among
rare
artistes
in
Kannada
film
industry.
Once
upon
a
time,
I
was
desperate
to
act
with
him.
Now,
I
don"t
have
any
choice
to
act
with
any
upcoming
Kannada
film
actors.
How
were
your
college
days?
Have
you
done
any
course
in
acting?
How
did
you
come
into
film
industry?
I
enjoyed
my
college
days.
I've
done
my
post
graduation
in
women"s
studies,
but
I
haven"t
done
any
course
in
acting.
I
was
more
interested
in
modelling
and
I
wanted
to
pursue
it
as
my
career.
These
day,
modelling,
where
girls
will
get
noticed,
has
become
a
stepping
stone
for
film
industry.
With
this
recognition,
they
enter
film
industry.
Most
of
girls
choose
modelling
to
enter
films.
But
I
didn"t
have
such
intentions.
Honestly,
I
was
into
modelling
career
when
I
started
getting
offers
to
act
in
films.
At
first,
I
rejected
several
projects,
but
later,
I
was
forced
to
enter
the
industry.
Somebody
had
posted
your
profile
in
Jeevansaathi.com
and
it
had
hit
the
headlines
a
few
months
ago.
What
would
you
like
to
say
about
it?
Yes!
Somebody
had
posted
my
profile,
but
I
don"t
know
who
it
was.
Suddenly,
one
day
I
got
a
phone
call
from
the
admin
of
the
Jeevansaathi
website
for
confirmation.
He
asked
me,
madam
you
have
posted
your
profile
in
our
website.
Are
you
really
looking
for
an
alliance?
I
said
no!
Later,
I
got
the
profile
deleted.
Did
you
have
any
boyfriend
in
your
college
days?
Is
there
anyone,
who
wanted
to
spoil
your
image?
I
had
friends
during
my
college
days,
but
I
didn't
have
such
a
mean
fellow
as
my
friend.
Moreover,
I
was
very
decent
girl
and
I
used
to
be
busy
with
my
studies.
I
never
used
to
joke
around
with
friends.
I
don"t
think
I
had
any
enemy,
who
wanted
to
spoil
my
career.
When
are
you
going
to
get
married?
Yes!
Now
I"m
thinking
of
getting
married.
I'm
in
search
of
a
descent
boy,
who
will
suit
my
image.
I
will
marry
very
soon
and
will
invite
you
also.
