Parvathi on why she rejected Sudeep's Kanwarlal

Parvathi Menon has revealed that Sudeep had contacted her for the female lead in his upcoming movie Kanwarlal before roping in actress Priyamani. But she says that she declined to act in the project because she did not have a positive gut feeling about her character.

The Malayalam Babe was recently in Bangalore to launch the audio of her movie Prithvi with Puneet Rajkumar. Talking to the Bangalore Times about the movie Kanwarlal, she said, “Sudeep and I talked about the film casually and then he sent me a CD. Later, I understood how it became a masterpiece in the "80s and that Sudeep is recreating the film as a tribute to Ambareesh.

Actress Parvathi is known for being a thorough professional. "If I don"t have a positive gut feeling about my character, I won"t be able to give the film my 100 per cent. Sudeep understood that, as he"s both an actor and a director," the Bangalore Times reports her as saying.

However, Parvathi Menon is now eagerly waiting for the release of the film Prithvi. The actress has another two projects in her hands. She is acting in Plus Two in Telugu and Ishtam Enikishtam in Malayalam.
