Ragini's Holi releasing this holi

Actress Ragini Dwivedi's first Kannada film Holi, which has been delayed for long over some unknown reason, is now set to release this 'holi', a festival of colours. The movie has been directed by Shankar Sugganhalli and produced by Lalitha Shankaraling Sugganhalli and Rajashree under the banner Bhagyashree Cine Combines. Ragini Dwivedi and newcomer Venkatesh Prasad are playing the lead roles in it.

Along with 'holi' festival, the movie Holi deals with a serious problem like 'Devadasi' system (prostitution), which is still prevailing in India. The movie has a village story as its backdrop. Kannada dialect of Hubli-Dharwad is used in the movie. Director Shankar Sugganahalli has penned story and screenplay for the movie.

The story of the movie is that a girl is left in the name of god in a village. The rich person of the village is infatuated by her and he tries to harass her. Meanwhile, a young guy comes to help her. He becomes friend to her and ultimately falls in love with her. Who marries her will form the climax of the movie.

Kodur Padmanabh has cranked the camera and Amarpriya has scored music for the movie Holi, which has K Pradeep's editing, Prof. GH Hanneradumath and Pundalika Kalliganoor's lyrics and dialogues, Siddu's stunts and Muralikrishna, Anand and Dayananda's choreography. Shobharaj, Pavithra Lokesh, Doddanna, Karibasavayya, Padmaja Rao, Bank Janardhan and BC Patil are also in the cast.
