Kannada
actor
Ramesh
Aravind,
who
is
now
promoting
his
Tamil
movie
Manmadhan
Ambu
with
Kamal
Hassan,
is
a
very
busy
actor
in
Sandalwood.
The
comedian-turned-director
has
completed
shooting
for
his
upcoming
movies
like
Rangappa
Hogbitna
and
Happy
Husbands.
He
has
signed
another
movie
called
Maaya,
which
is
being
directed
by
newcomer
A
Ganesh.
Recently,
he
spoke
to
oneindia
about
these
three
films
and
their
shooting.
Here
are
the
excerpts
of
Ramesh
Aravind
interview.
What
is
the
story
of
Rangappa
Hogbitna
(RH)?
What
role
are
you
playing
in
it?
Rangappa
Hogbitna
is
all
about
a
dying
old
man,
who
refuses
to
die,
but
a
bunch
of
selfish
relatives
and
his
son
caught
in
the
mess.
In
short,
it
is
a
simple
no-frills
fun
film.
I'm
playing
the
old
man's
son.
How
was
your
shooting
experience
with
Sanjjana
and
Girish
Bhat
on
the
sets?
Oh!
Sanjjana
is
an
endearing,
simple
and
down
to
earth
person.
It
was
nice
having
her
for
co-star.
The
whole
gang
of
newcomers
in
it
was
a
eager
and
talented
lot.
What
would
you
like
to
tell
about
the
shooting
of
the
film
RH?
The
shooting
of
the
film
was
hectic
because
it
has
too
many
scenes.
All
the
scenes
are
very
short
and
interestingly
interwoven
in
the
screenplay.
Comedies
are
always
fun
to
shoot.
.
What
is
your
take
on
the
work
of
technicians
in
RH?
It
was
a
quickie
and
technicians
chosen
for
it
were
fast
and
reliable.
New
director
Prasanna
is
already
a
well-known
writer.
His
lines
in
the
film
and
'channel-surfing'
kind
of
screenplay
are
interesting.
Mahender
is
already
a
proven-competent
cameraman.
What
is
the
reason
behind
delay
in
the
release
of
RH?
I
guess
that
the
producer
is
waiting
for
proper
theatre
chain.
Anyway
only
producer
can
answer
it
better.
What
is
the
message
for
the
audience
in
RH?
Even
death
can
be
hilarious.
Laugh
your
way
till
grave.
What
is
the
story
of
your
another
film
Happy
Husband
(HH)?
And
what
role
are
you
playing
in
it?
The
movie
revolves
around
a
newspaper
editor,
who
trips
for
a
sexy
siren
and
all
hell
breaks
loose
in
home
front.
It's
a
terrific
entertainment
in
store
for
the
audience
in
theatre.
I
play
a
newspaper
editor
in
it.
Along
with
me
Ravichandran
and
Vijayaraghavendra
add
to
the
fun.
How
is
the
shooting
going
on
for
HH?
When
is
it
releasing?
I've
already
finished
both
shooting
and
dubbing
works
for
the
film.
It
may
release
early
in
new
year.
What
would
you
like
to
tell
about
star
cast
of
HH?
It's
a
massive
cast.
Ravichandran,
Vijay,
Ragini,
Ritika,
Yagna
Shetty
and
me
together
will
come
and
tickle
the
audience's
funny
bone.
Recently,
you
have
signed
up
movie
Maaya
with
newcomer
A
Ganesh.
Being
well-experienced
director,
actor
and
producer,
what
made
you
accept
the
movie?
It's
a
fabulous
subject
of
horror
reality
show
going
wrong.
How
could
I
miss
such
a
powerful
film
even
if
director
is
new?
I
play
role
of
director
of
show.
Crazy
Kutumba,
Preethi
Inda
Ramesh,
Hendtheera
Darbar,
Ennamo
Nadakkudhu
(Tamil),
Krishna
Nee
Late
Aag
Baro,
Shock,
Naanu
Nanna
Kanasu
and
Cheluveye
Ninne
Nodalu
were
released
in
2010.
How
was
the
response
for
them?
What
would
you
like
to
comment
on
the
year
2010?
It
was
a
relief
just
to
act
the
roles
while
someone
else
directed.
The
roles
were
good
and
people
appreciated
quite
a
few,
but
I
think
what
I
missed
in
2010
was
the
director's
chair.
Your
message
to
your
fans?
Thanks
for
everything.
We
have
been
pals
for
2
decades
now.
Cheers!!!
