I'm tying knot with Pallavi on 8th December: Suri

Jackie fame director Suri (Soori) is now on the cloud nine. He has two reasons to be very happy. Firstly, Puneet Rajkumar and Bhavana starrer Kannada movie Jackie has completed 50 days at the Box Office. Moreover, it has set a new record at collection centres. Secondly, the most eligible bachelor is getting married this month. He is all set to tie the knot with a painter called Pallavi on 8th December.

Director Suri was recently available for a phone chat with India's leading website Oneindia.in. He shared his excitement about his marriage and the success of the movie Jackie. Talking about his marriage, Suri said, "Yes! I"m getting married to a girl called Pallavi, who is from Davangere. Like me, she is also a painter. It"s not a love marriage, but an arranged one, which has been decided by my and her families. I"m tying knot with Pallavi at Kollur Mookambika Temple at 9.30 am on 8th December."

Suri has invited several popular actors, directors and producers for his wedding with Pallavi. But he is not sure about how many people will attend the event. He said, "I"ve invited all the stars, directors and producers of Sandalwood. My wedding is happening at Kollur Mookambika Temple, which is a far off place from Bangalore. I don't know how many people will get time to attend it."

Meanwhile, the Duniya director is yet to decide about the reception. He said, "I"ve not thought about the reception. My marriage will take place on December 08. Both the families and friends will attend it. We"ll finish all the family rituals at Kollur and we will come back to Bangalore. Later, we"ll decide about when and where the reception has to take place. Now, I can't say anything about it."

Although Jackie has completed 50 days and set a new record at the collection centres, Suri is very upset about the response of the film. He said, "I"m happy that movie has completed 50 days and earned well at the Box Office. It"s still running houseful in many theatres, but piracy has affected the collection. The pirated DVDs have come out and this has prevented many audience from visiting cinema halls."

However, after his marriage Suri might take a long break. He will take another six months to launch his next movie. Talking about his next venture, he said, "Once again, I"m going to direct Puneet Rajkumar. Currently, he is acting in K Madesha's Hudugru. After completing it, he"ll shoot for Yogaraj Bhat's next. Then my movie will be launched. Now, I"m writing script for my next film with Puneet."

We, at Oneindia, wish Suri a happy married life well in week's advance.
