Actor
Tharun
Chandra
is
back
with
his
Love
Guru
team
again.
He
is
very
confident
of
his
latest
movie
Gaana
Bajaana,
which
is
set
to
hit
the
screens
this
Friday.
The
upcoming
Sandalwood
actor
is
busy
in
the
promotional
activities
of
the
film.
He
says
Gaana
Bajaana,
which
stars
Radhika
Pandit
and
Dilip
Raj
alongside
him,
is
sure
to
rock
the
Box
Office.
As
part
of
promotion,
the
Kannada
actor
spoke
about
Gaana
Bajaana
to
India's
most
visited
website
Oneindia.in.
Here
are
the
excerpts
of
Tharun
Chandra
interview.
What
is
your
educational
qualification?
And
how
did
you
come
into
Films?
I
have
done
B
Com
from
MES
College,
Bangalore.
While
I
was
studying
in
II
year,
I
did
three
months'
acting
course
at
Kishore
Namit
Kapoor
Acting
Institute,
which
is
branch
of
Mumbai
based
institute
in
Bangalore.
Although
I
had
got
few
offers
at
that
moment,
I
didn't
accept
them.
Immediately
after
completing
my
graduation,
I
prepared
my
portfolios
and
videos
and
started
hunting
for
opportunities.
One
fine
day,
I
saw
the
advertisement
of
Love
Guru
in
a
newspaper.
I
approached
Prashanth
and
he
selected
me
as
the
hero
of
the
film.
That's
how
my
acting
career
started.
What
is
your
role
in
Gaana
Bajaana?
Why
did
you
accept
it?
Basically,
Gaana
Bajaana
is
a
romantic
entertainer.
My
role
in
it
is
bit
difficult
to
explain.
I
have
played
several
roles
earlier
and
they
were
quite
easy
to
understand.
But
in
this
film,
my
role
is
totally
different.
He
is
an
unusual
character
and
he
is
a
prankster,
naughty
and
extrovert
guy.
He
has
all
these
shades
of
character.
Do
think
that
this
role
will
get
you
an
award?
While
acting,
we
never
think
of
getting
an
award.
If
I
have
to
get
an
award
for
Gaana
Bajaana,
it
should
be
the
best
actor.
But
there
is
lot
of
competition
in
this
category.
Though
I
have
enough
scope
to
prove
my
acting
talents
in
this
film,
there
are
many
factors
that
are
counted
in
the
competition.
I
wish
I
would
get
an
award
for
this
film.
This
is
your
second
movie
with
Prashanth,
Radhika
and
Dilip
raj,
musician
Joshua
Sridhar
and
producer
Naven.
How
was
your
shooting
experience
with
them
again?
Radhika
and
Dilip
are
really
fantastic
actors
and
they
have
delivered
wonderful
performance
in
this
film.
I
have
wonderful
time
with
them
the
sets
of
this
film.
I
would
like
to
thank
Prashanth
for
giving
me
a
chance
to
get
involved
in
the
process
of
filmmaking.
Immediately
after
the
release
of
Love
Guru,
we
decided
to
do
another
movie.
Me,
Prashanth
and
Joshua
Sridhar
sat
together
and
discussed
about
several
factors
like
story,
music
and
promotions
of
our
next
movie.
While
shooting
also
we
had
good
rapport
with
each
other.
Moreover,
Prashanth
wanted
me
always
to
be
on
the
sets.
I
used
to
be
on
the
sets
though
I
did
not
have
any
work.
Once
suddenly,
we
decided
to
shoot
a
sequence,
which
happened
accidentally.
Though
I
wasn't
prepared
for
it,
I
got
ready
for
shoot
immediately
and
shot
it.
It
has
come
out
really
very
well.
It
is
really
wonderful
experience
for
me.
How
different
is
Gaana
Bajaana
from
your
other
films
like
Parichaya,
Love
Guru
and
Hani
Hani?
It
is
totally
an
entertainer
and
audience
will
keep
interacting
with
all
the
scenes
right
from
the
beginning
to
end.
Besides
hero
and
heroine,
other
characters
also
have
different
mannerism
and
bahaviour,
which
engage
the
minds
of
audience.
I
would
like
to
tell
another
thing
here.
During
the
promotion
of
Love
Guru,
me
and
Prashanth
visited
different
cities
and
collected
the
reaction
of
the
audience.
After
this,
we
decided
to
make
our
next
movie
totally
different
from
our
own
previous
film
as
well
as
other
Kannada
films.
We
had
committed
a
few
mistakes
in
Love
Guru
and
we
have
covered
it
up
in
Gaana
Bajaana.
How
is
your
onscreen
chemistry
with
Radhika?
Audiences
have
already
enjoyed
our
chemistry
in
Love
Guru
and
they
really
love
it.
We
have
got
tremendous
response.
During
Love
Guru
promotions,
one
old
woman
told
me
and
Radhika
that
our
pair
went
very
well
and
she
suggested
us
to
keep
it
up
in
the
next
movie
too.
And
we
have
tried
our
level
best
to
make
it
lovely
in
Gaana
Bajaana.
What
would
you
like
to
tell
about
your
off-screen
chemistry
with
her?
(Laughed)
No
Not
at
all!
Me
and
Radhika
are
quite
opposite
of
how
well
we
gel
on
screen.
Both
of
us
have
different
attitude
and
responsibilities
towards
life.
We
don't
have
any
off-screen
chemistry.
We
are
just
friends.
What
would
you
like
to
tell
about
the
technical
team
of
Gaana
Bajaana?
Gaana
Bajaana
has
got
a
wonderful
technical
team.
All
the
members
of
technical
team
are
young
blooded
and
dynamic.
The
team
has
got
fresh
spirit.
The
producer,
director,
hair
stylist,
costume
designer,
musician,
cameraman
and
editor
are
all
youngsters
and
they
are
very
talented
and
well
experienced
in
their
respective
department.
I
feel
very
lucky
to
work
with
them.
What
is
your
take
on
music
of
Gaana
Bajaana?
Which
is
your
favourite
track
in
it?
Joshua
Sridhar
has
got
the
pulse
of
the
music
lovers.
We
have
got
very
good
response
for
his
composition
in
Gaana
Bajaana.
Viewers
are
very
eager
to
watch
those
songs
onscreen.
All
the
songs
are
really
good
and
my
favourite
song
is
'Naanu
iga
naanena...'
While
composing
songs,
we
had
different
song
in
the
place
of
Naanu
Iga
Naanena...',
but
it
was
changed
in
the
thought
process.
'Hosadondu
Hesaridu
Nanage...'
is
an
experimental
song.
Aaja
Nachale,
Gundedtu
have
also
shaped
up
well.
What
are
your
expectations
from
the
film?
I
am
not
expecting
anything
because
I
am
very
confident
of
this
film.
Audience
will
love
it,
like
it
and
enjoy
it
very
well.
Gaana
Bajaana
will
be
a
successful
film.
Who
is
your
favourite
actor
in
Kannada?
I
don't
have
one,
but
have
many.
My
favourite
actors
are
Rajkumar,
Shankar
Nag
and
Vishnuvardhan.
In
younger
generation,
I
like
Darshan
and
Sudeep
Puneet.
Who
is
your
favourite
actress
with
whom
you
want
to
act
in
future?
None
in
Sandalwood!
I
watch
lot
of
Hollywood
movies
and
all
my
favourite
actresses
are
in
Hollywood.
So
I
feel
that
my
dream
of
acting
with
my
favourite
actress
is
not
going
to
realise
in
this
life.
Which
director
would
you
like
to
work
with
in
your
future
besides
Prashanth?
There
are
many
upcoming
talented
directors
in
Kannada
film
industry.
Besides
Prashanth,
I
would
love
to
work
with
Yogaraj
Bhat,
Suri
and
many
others.
What
do
you
think
are
the
possible
reasons
for
failure
of
the
Kannada
film
industry?
I
don"t
consider
it
as
the
failure
of
Sandalwood.
There
is
a
drastic
come
down
in
success
rate,
which
is
sure
to
go
up
again.
Would
you
like
to
act
in
remake
films?
I
think
that
the
reason
for
downfall
of
success
is
remakes.
So
the
actors,
directors
and
producers
should
focus
on
original
movies.
What
are
your
upcoming
films?
I
have
two
projects
like
Dilkush
and
another
untitled
film.
Dilkush
will
be
directed
by
Prashanth
and
another
movie
will
be
directed
by
a
Mumbai-based
ad
filmmaker
named
Himayath
Khan.
How
often
will
you
be
on
social
networking
sites?
During
shoots,
I
hardly
tweet
and
even
don"t
receive
calls
on
my
cell
phones.
I
completely
concentrate
on
the
shooting
work.
But
I
will
be
online
and
be
tweeting
whenever
I
am
free.
Usually
in
the
evenings,
I
will
chat
with
my
fans
on
social
networking
sites
like
Facebook
and
Twitter.
Sometimes,
I
promote
my
films
on
these
sites
too.
What
is
your
message
to
your
audience?
I
love
them
from
the
bottom
of
my
heart
for
all
their
support.
I
would
like
to
tell
them
that
I
will
always
work
to
entertain
you
and
I
will
never
do
a
thing
that
hurts
you.
