Yogish, Radhika Pandit win Best actors KSF Awards

Loose Mada a.k.a.Yogish and actress Radhika Pandit have won the Best Actor and Actress Karnataka State Film Awards 2008-09 for their performance in the movies Ambari and Moggina Manasu respectively. The Chief Minister of Karnataka, BS Yeddyurappa announced the names of the winners in different categories on Friday afternoon. Narendra Babu directed Kabaddi has bagged the Best Film.

B Saroja Devi has been honoured with Dr Rajkumar award, while Lifetime achievement award, which is being given in the name of late Dr. Vishnuvardhan, has been given to Ajantha Raju RNK Prasad. Dr. Girish Karnad has bagged the prestigious Puttanna Kanagal Award.

However, the selection committee for the awards included members like senior Journalist Babu Dinakara, D Rajendra Babu, KV Raju, HN Maruthi, Banandur Kempaiah, Rajesh senior actor, cameraman BS Basavaraj and Sujatha Paramashivaiah are the other members of the committee announced in the end of June 2010. But D Rajendra Babu and Banandur Kempaiah could not attend the screen of the films due to some reason.

Best Script Writer - Soori (Janglee)
Best Dialogue Writers - Hu Pattana Shetty and Narendra Babu (Kabaddi)
Best Cinematographer - KM Vishnuvardhan (Neenyaare)
Best Music Director - Abhiman (Tajmahal)
Best Sound Engineer (Psycho)
Best Editor - Deepu S Kumar (Junglee)
Best Child Artiste - Master Manoj (Nandadeepa)
Best Child Actress - Saniya Iyer (Vimukthi)
Best Art Director - K Raju (Neenyaare)
Best Lyricist - K Kalyan (Ganga Kaaveri)
Best Playback Singer (male) - Chethan (Yaare Nee Devathaya)
