Kannada
actor
Deepak,
who
is
popularly
known
as
junior
Shankar
Nag
in
Sandalwood,
had
a
miraculous
escape
on
Thursday
during
the
shooting
for
his
upcoming
movie
Magadi
in
Bangkok.
He
fell
off
in
the
waters
of
the
sea
when
the
boat
in
which
he
was
traveling
crashed
and
pushed
him
aside.
It
was
reported
earlier
that
budding
Kannada
star
Deepak
died
in
the
accident.
The
news
started
making
rounds
in
the
air
after
a
Kannada
TV
news
channel
reported
about
his
death.
The
shocking
news
circulated
like
a
wind
from
one
cell
phone
to
another.
But
producer
Ba.
Ma.
Harish
of
Magadi
has
confirmed
that
he
is
still
alive
and
fine.
Talking
to
a
news
channel,
Ba.
Ma.
Harish,
who
is
in
Bangalore,
said,
“We
were
shocked
by
Deepak's
death
news.
We
came
to
know
that
he
is
safe,
when
we
contacted
our
crew
members
in
Bangkok."
The
producer
added,
“We
don't
know
who
started
the
news
of
his
death
circulating."
Deepak
had
left
for
Bangkok
along
with
the
film
unit
for
the
shooting
of
his
latest
kannada
film
Magadi.
He
was
shooting
for
a
song
at
Pattaya,
when
the
boat
accident
took
place.
The
unit
left
with
a
shock
when
they
did
not
see
the
actor
for
long
time.
So
the
rumours
about
Deepak's
death
hit
the
screens
of
Suvarana
News
channel.
However,
Deepak
spoke
to
another
Kannada
news
channel
TV
9
over
phone
and
cleared
the
air.
He
admitted
the
accident
and
said,
“I
feel
like
coming
back
to
life."
The
Kannada
actor
added
that
he
has
another
two
days
shooting
work.
He
would
take
rest
and
then
start
shooting
for
the
film
Magadi.
He
will
return
to
Bangalore
in
four
days.
