Debutant
actor
Nishanth,
who
is
the
son
of
noted
Kannada
poet
Mudnakudu
Chinnaswamy,
is
entering
Kannada
films
with
popular
art
filmmaker
Shivarudraiah's
latest
directorial
venture
Maagiya
Kaala.
The
budding
star,
who
has
been
trained
at
well-known
theatre
group
'Ninasam',
is
all
nervous
about
his
debut
movie.
He
has
completed
the
shooting
and
dubbing
works
for
it
and
now
eagerly
waiting
for
its
release.
The
producer
of
Maagiya
Kaala,
Shrimathi
Chinnaswamy
held
a
press
meet
of
the
film
at
Century
club
in
Bangalore
on
Wednesday
evening
(12th
January).
The
upcoming
star
exclusively
spoke
to
Oneindia
and
shared
his
excitement
about
his
first
Kannada
film.
Here
are
the
excerpts
of
Nishanth's
interview.
How
did
you
enter
film
industry?
Basically,
I
am
a
graduate
from
theatre
group
'Ninasam'.
I
have
completed
one
year
diploma
course
in
acting
at
'Ninasam'.
I
have
take
part
in
several
plays
including
the
Kannada
version
of
'Midsummer's
Nights
Dream'
at
Ninasam.
Seeing
my
acting
skills
my
father
and
mother
encouraged
me
to
act
in
a
movie.
My
mother
even
came
forward
to
produce
my
first
movie
and
that
is
Maagiya
Kaala.
What
is
the
story
of
the
film?
The
story
revolves
around
an
orphan
boy,
who
is
a
Buddhist.
He
looses
his
parents
at
a
very
tender
age
and
finds
his
parental
love
in
his
boss.
But
unfortunately,
his
boss
also
dies
of
heart
attack
and
this
pushes
him
in
the
pool
of
tears.
He
consults
his
guru
(Buddhist
monk)
for
guidance
and
his
guru
advises
him
to
adopt
parents
from
an
old-age
home.
How
he
adopts
his
parents
and
how
he
struggles
to
seek
their
love
will
form
the
crux
of
the
film.
What
role
are
you
playing
in
it?
I
am
playing
a
lead
character
in
the
film
Maagiya
Kaala.
I
appear
as
an
orphan
boy,
who
is
a
young
and
successful
architect.
I
am
very
happy
because
whole
story
and
its
theme
is
concentrated
in
my
character.
What
makes
you
feel
excited
about
the
film?
Usually,
there
is
a
trend
that
parents
adopt
a
child
from
an
orphanage
and
there
is
no
practice
like
a
child
adopting
its
parents.
Maagiya
Kaala
deals
with
one
such
peculiar
story
or
concept.
Kannada
film
industry
has
witnessed
several
experiments,
but
nobody
has
tried
with
this
kind
of
story.
For
the
first
director
Shivarudraiah
is
attempting
such
an
experiment
in
Maagiya
Kaala.
Along
with
Amar
Dev,
he
has
penned
the
dialogues
besides
writing
the
screenplay
for
it.
I
am
quite
excited
to
know
the
response
of
the
audience
for
it.
How
was
your
shooting
experience
with
well-known
director
Shivarudraiah?
Firstly,
Maagiya
Kaala
has
been
shot
in
Bangalore,
Mangalore,
Madikeri,
Somawarpeth
and
Kushal
Nagar.
I
had
really
wonderful
shooting
experience
on
the
sets.
Basically,
I
had
elementary
knowledge
about
acting
along
with
acting
experience
in
theatre.
But
this
was
not
enough
for
acting
in
the
film.
Director
Shivarudraiah
is
my
guru.
He
taught
me
everything
right
from
the
beginning
of
the
film
till
the
end
of
its
production.
I
have
learned
a
lot
from
him.
I
thank
him
from
the
bottom
of
my
heart
for
all
his
support
and
guidance.
What
would
you
like
to
tell
about
the
music
of
Maagiya
Kaala?
This
movie
revolves
around
a
realistic
story
based
Ishwar
Chandra
written
novel
'Ondu
Soorina
Kelage'.
Since
it
is
an
art
film,
it
does
not
have
much
importance
for
music.
There
is
only
once
song
in
it.
We
have
completed
the
shooting
of
the
film,
but
we
are
yet
to
shoot
for
the
songs.
We
are
planning
to
film
for
the
song
next
week.
When
is
it
releasing?
and
what
is
your
message
to
the
audience?
The
movie
has
completed
its
shooting
and
post-production
works.
It
has
even
cleared
the
Censor
formalities
on
29th
December.
Probably,
it
is
likely
to
release
in
the
first
week
of
February.
My
message
to
the
audience
is
that
Maagiya
Kaala
is
an
experimental
art
film.
Watch
it
in
theatre
and
encourage
me.
