Industrialist-cum-producer
Ashok
Kheny,
who
is
the
owner
of
Nandi
Infrastructure
Corridor
Enterprises
(NICE),
has
bought
the
Sandalwood
cricket
team
'Bangalore
Royals" for
the
Celebrity
Cricket
League
T20
tournament.
He
is
said
to
have
planned
to
rename
it
as
'Karnataka
Bulldozers'
and
is
also
considering
to
use
NICE
emblem
Bulldozer
for
the
team.
The
Kannada
filmdom
team
was
facing
a
severe
setback
and
had
to
be
postponed
repeatedly
due
to
lack
of
participants.
The
initial
bid
for
the
team
was
Rs.
16.7
crores
for
10
years,
but
it
is
not
clear
that
How
much
money
he
has
bought
it
for.
According
to
sources,
The
NICE
chairman
wants
to
rename
the
team
'Bangalore
Royals'
as
'Karnataka
Bulldozers'.
Meanwhile,
Bull
is
the
emblem
of
NICE
and
he
wants
to
use
it
as
the
symbol
of
the
team.
Now,
the
Sandalwood
team
is
very
happy
after
Ashok
Kheny
bought
it.
The
team
has
been
rigourously
practicing
for
the
Celebrity
Cricket
League
T20
tournament
for
the
past
two
weeks.
Disciplined
and
dedicated
actor
Kicha
Sudeep
is
the
captain
of
the
team.
Under
his
leadership,
the
team
is
hoping
to
win
the
trophy
at
CCLT20
match.
However,
the
Bollywood
team
is
owned
by
Salman
Khan
and
it
is
already
a
contract
struck.
The
Telugu,
Tamil
and
Malayalam
filmdom
team
modalities
have
not
been
arrived.
The
CCLT20
organisers
are
hopeful
about
striking
the
deal
for
these
teams
within
a
couple
of
days
and
are
planning
to
start
the
matches,
which
were
expected
to
begin
on
21st
of
January
in
Bangalore,
in
the
second
week
of
February
2011.
