Ashok Kheny buys Bangalore Royals for CCLT20

Industrialist-cum-producer Ashok Kheny, who is the owner of Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE), has bought the Sandalwood cricket team 'Bangalore Royals" for the Celebrity Cricket League T20 tournament. He is said to have planned to rename it as 'Karnataka Bulldozers' and is also considering to use NICE emblem Bulldozer for the team.

The Kannada filmdom team was facing a severe setback and had to be postponed repeatedly due to lack of participants. The initial bid for the team was Rs. 16.7 crores for 10 years, but it is not clear that How much money he has bought it for. According to sources, The NICE chairman wants to rename the team 'Bangalore Royals' as 'Karnataka Bulldozers'. Meanwhile, Bull is the emblem of NICE and he wants to use it as the symbol of the team.

Now, the Sandalwood team is very happy after Ashok Kheny bought it. The team has been rigourously practicing for the Celebrity Cricket League T20 tournament for the past two weeks. Disciplined and dedicated actor Kicha Sudeep is the captain of the team. Under his leadership, the team is hoping to win the trophy at CCLT20 match.

However, the Bollywood team is owned by Salman Khan and it is already a contract struck. The Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam filmdom team modalities have not been arrived. The CCLT20 organisers are hopeful about striking the deal for these teams within a couple of days and are planning to start the matches, which were expected to begin on 21st of January in Bangalore, in the second week of February 2011.
