After
more
than
a
year
after
the
death
of
Dr.
Vishnuvardhan,
the
Bruhat
Bangalore
Mahanagara
Palike
(BBMP)
has
woken
up
and
come
forward
to
pay
tribute
to
the
veteran
Kannada
actor
in
a
unique
way.
In
its
council
meeting
on
Monday,
the
BBMP
has
decided
to
name
a
main
road
and
a
park
in
Jayanagar
in
Bangalore
after
Dr
Vishnuvardhan.
In
the
meeting,
the
BBMP
had
taken
a
joint
decision
to
call
the
the
road
between
Sarjapur
and
Kengeri
as
Dr
Vishnuvardhan
road.
Meanwhile,
it
has
also
planned
to
name
the
public
park
in
4th
T
block,
Jayanagar
as
'Dr
Vishnuvardhan
Vishranthi
Vana".
Now,
it
has
issued
a
notice
to
the
public
of
these
localities
to
get
their
no
objections
to
its
decision
within
30
days.
The
BBMP's
decision
is
coming
out
after
the
Bellary
Corporation
planned
to
install
a
statue
of
late
Dr.
Vishnuvardhan
at
a
park
in
the
city
and
name
the
park
as
'Dr
Vishnuvardhana
Park".
It
should
be
recalled
here
that
earlier,
the
corporation
had
also
installed
a
statue
of
Dr
Rajkumar
at
a
garden
in
Bellary
and
named
it
after
the
legendary
Sandalwood
actor.
However,
it
is
very
painful
here
remember
that
after
the
death
of
Dr.
Rajkumar,
the
BBMP
had
announced
to
erect
a
13
feet
Brass
statue
of
'Annavru'
in
front
of
Town
Hall,
but
due
to
one
or
the
other
reason
it
is
postponing
the
installation
of
the
statue.
Although
the
statue
is
ready,
why
is
it
delaying
the
installation
process?
Even
bigger
question
is
whether
it
will
bring
its
promise
into
action
in
near
future.
Will
the
BBMP
answer
these
questions
with
its
immediate
action?
