Chetan returning with Muthappa Rai's Odeyar

By Ramchander

Chetan Kumar is not seen much these days. The actor, who shot to fame with Aa Dinagalu, was in exile after the back to back failures of his Birgugaali, Suryakanthi, and his Mareyalaare was shelved midway through the shooting. However, he is ready to make his comeback with his next project titled Odeyar, which is produced by former underworld don Muthappa Rai.

Reports say that Chetan Kumar narrated the storyline to Muthappa Rai at a private function and told his idea of casting him in the film. The founder of Jai Karnataka Kannada Association without a second thought gave a nod to act in Odeyar and also came forward to produce the forthcoming Kannada film. Interestingly, Chetan himself has penned the story and screenplay and has taken the responsibility of directing the movie.

The actor says that Muthappa Rai has a meaty role. In fact, he is the real hero of the film. Actress Karishma Bharadwaj, who was paired up with him in Birugaali, is teaming up with Chetan again. Manikanth Kadri is said to be scoring the music for Odeyar. Other details about the film are under wraps.
