Darshan arrested for threatening to kill his wife

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was arrested by the Vijayanagar police early this morning on charges of assaulting his wife. According to police sources, the Challenging star stabbed his wife Vijayalakshmi and threatened to kill her last night. The seriously wounded star's wife, who was in her friend's home, was rushed to the hospital.

Darshan, the son of yesteryear actor Thoogudeepa Srinivas, threatened his wife with a revolver before attacking her and their 3-year-old son Vineesh about 12 AM. She is admitted at Gayathri Nursing Home in Vijayanagar. It is said that the victim is battling for life.

Reports say that Darshan and his wife were living separately due to family dispute for a few months now. The exact reason for the trouble in their paradise is yet to be revealed. The estranged couple tied the knot in 2000. The actor, who had maintained a clean image in public for all these years, has spoiled his name by attacking his wife.
