Will Darshan get bail today?

Kannada actor Darshan, who is in the police custody for assaulting his wife Vijayalakshmi, is likely to get bail today (September 20). City Civil and Sessions Court judge RB Budihal heard the argument on the bail application of the Challenging star yesterday and has reserved his judgment for today.

Darshan's lawyer SK Venkatareddy pleaded the Sessions Court judge to issue bail to the actor by considering Vijayalakshmi's willingness for reconciliation and desire to live with her husband. He also said that the dowry harassment case filed against him did not apply to that case as his wife did not make any dowry-related charges.

Meanwhile, public prosecutor SC Agasi Mani opposed the bail stating that the accused might influence and bring pressure on the complainant and witnesses. But Venkatareddy argued that the Supreme Court in an order has observed that if the couple wanted to end the litigation between them and live together, it should be facilitated.

However, Vijayalakshmi Darshan was present in the court during the hearing on September 19. Meanwhile, the actor, who is suffering from asthama and jaundice, has been undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
