Challenging

who
has
been
arrested
for
assaulting
and
threatening
his
wife
Vijayalakshmi,
has
moved
to
Sessions
Court
in
Bangalore
seeking
bail
today
(14th
September).
Popular
Kannada
actor's
attempts
to
secure
bail
suffered
a
setback
in
1st
AMCC
court
despite
his
wife
retracting
her
statement
in
the
court
on
Monday.
On
Tuesday,
first
Additional
Chief
Metropolitan
Magistrate
Venkatesh
Hulagi
had
rejected
bail
plea
filed
by
Darshan,
who
is
now
undergoing
treatment
for
asthma
and
jaundice
in
a
hospital.
Venkatesh
stated
that
he
did
not
have
jurisdiction
to
handle
the
case
filed
under
IPC
Section
307,
which
deals
with
the
case
of

to

However,
Darshan
was
arrested
on
September
9
and
produced
before
a
Magistrate,
who
had
remanded
him
to
judicial
custody.
Several
leading
Kannada
film
personalities
have
tried
to
bring
about
a
patch-up
between
Darshan
and
his
wife.
So,
his
wife
came
forward
to
withdraw
her
complaint
on
Monday
stating
that
she
sustained
head
injuries
during
a
fall
in
bathroom.
